Thanks to new technologies, the advertising sector can continue experimenting and innovating with new proposals and advertising formulas such as the one that will shortly be implemented in kiosks in New York by the Spanish company FCC through its subsidiary Cemusa.

The new advertising proposal will begin to be operational from next September in the popular New York area of Times Square, when the first digital advertising systems begin to be installed in different newsstands, which thanks to LCD technology will acquire a new look and totally innovative design that will turn them into a new multimedia advertising medium that will coexist with the huge and traditional advertisements for theater shows or commercial brands on the facades and walls of buildings in the area.

This new format is marketed at an official and unique rate of $ 96,000 (equivalent to about 75,000 euros at the current exchange rate) for a 30-second ad (spot, in advertising language) that appear on kiosks every 8 minutes. At the moment, three large American multinationals, whose identity cannot be revealed at the moment, have contracted advertisements in these new facilities.

The location of the kiosks of the subsidiary of the Citizen Services group is due to the fact that it is the only area of the Big Apple where the City Council allows the installation of this type of multimedia support, an area that is classified as having high commercial value. In a first phase, Cemusa will install 8 digital kiosks that may reach a maximum of eleven, always in the Times Square area.

From the FCC company itself, they highlight the success of the initiative, adding that “for the moment, three large US multinationals have been interested and have contracted advertisements in these facilities”, although for the moment it has been omitted to reveal the identity of these advertisers.
